The Environmental Biotechnology Department (EBD) at the Research Center for
Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS, Beijing), was
established in 1999 to foster a multidisciplinary approach for training the
next generation of environmental scientists and solving environmental problems
