addition, UTD's accounting class is much easier to get an "A".
UTA's class is difficult. When I took class there, I spent all the time in
Library. That's why UTA students have high CPA通过率, you have to study
really hard to get an "A". I like the professors, especially the chair, in
UTA, but I know nothing about UTD professors. |

It's true that there are many companies located in Dallas, but are there any
coorporations between them and UTD accounting department? if there are not,
on this point, it seems UTA is better than UTD, the more knowledge you
learned, the more chances you will get for a job. after all, it is so far
from Arlington to Dallas.
Welcome everybody to discuss about this issue and make some corrections if
needed. |

发帖数: 44 | 6 That's what I thought when I decided to go to UTA, but trust me, there is a
big difference. Most of the big 4 Dallas Office prefer to hire from UTD and
SMU, but I didn't say all, you can still try.
Another thing is if the class is easy to get A, you'll have more time to do
internship and take CPA exam and get high GPA. Anyway, I got 3.9 from UTA
and work for big 4 now, so it's still a good choice, just let you know the
difference

and UTA. But here is the information released by NASBA in March 2008:
Texas universities had high passing rates for their candiates with advanced
degrees:
Baylor University 4th
UT Austin 6th
UT Dallas 6th
UT Arlington 11th
Texas A&M 15th
The distance from UT Arlington to Downtown is the same as the distance from
UT Dallas to Downtown.UTD has very good tax program and one of the |

But I don't know what is the difference among these concentrations?
Why UTD sets so many concentrations? Are their career path the same? |

发帖数: 1 | 13 So far I knew that UTA is better than UTD. The CPA passing rate of UTA
previous was higher than UTD. UTA's program is really tough so many
studetnts who can't get good grades eventually transfer to UTD. However, in
these days, the CPA passing rate of UTD is getting higher than UTD, that's
because UTD has new Becker program. However, if you take this program you
will lose some chances taking other professional accounting classes. So if
you would like to learn more, UTA definitely is a good choice |

interview opportunities at UTD. Right now I am doing internship with a
company and feel UTD has better reputaion than UTA among my American
coworkers. Honestly I do not know too much about UTA. |

的机会的。
美国电信原来在我们这里也经常找实习生的，cpapassrate也就是average的东西，学校passrate９９％，如果我是１％，那也与我没用阿。如果学校ｐａｓｓｒａｔｅ１％，１％就是我，那也与学校无关，找学校关键是看就业。 |

自己的某些比别人好的点来和别人比较,不管是大的点还是小的点,反正别人比不过自己
的点就那来说.但是,只要你问一下dallas地区会计行业的人,你就知道UTD的会计在DFW
地区声望是最好的,而且找工作相对容易的. |

There is no difference between those two in the eye of employer.
If you need to choose UT Austin, then definitely UT Austin. Otherwise UTD.
As many people mentioned earlier, many employers like UTD graduates. My
company hired several people from UTD. I went to KPMG office the other day
for a meeting and they introduced some staff to me. Two of them are recent
UTD graduates. |

只有1/3或更低。
