Air west airline has $10000 of 8% bonds payable that are dated Jaunary 1.
That means the interest starts accruing on January1
Suppose it issues these bonds on April 1, how should we account for the
interest for January, Feb, March
难道一个公司has bond和issue bond是两回事清？
一个公司has bond但是不issue,当3月以后，bond在这3月中产生的interest为什么公司
还要从bondholder手里要啊？公司根本没给他们bond啊，在前3个月？
我哪里没明白吗？哎 |

give you interest calculated based on the bond face value(usually $1000)
every quarterly or half of the year.
To accured the interest on bond are below?
D: Bond interest Expense
C: Bond interest Payable
2. I have a bond from you means I buy the bond and I'm holding it. I should
receive quarterly interest payment from you.
But the question say has a "bond payable" probably means #1. |

the answer is either accrued the interest for Jan, Feb, March OR not accrued
it....
I'm not so sure about having issuing a bond that is "dated" Jan, but issue
in April |

假设A公司在4月1号买了B公司的bond
bond的issue date是1月1号
那么A公司需要付的价格就是bond price+purchased interest accrual
到了6月30号拿利息的时候，拿到的就是整个半年的利息
但是事实上interest income是4月1号到6月30号的利息，因为前3个月的利息B公司
买bond的时候就付掉的
清楚了没

发帖数: 19 | 7 我想应该是发行bond的公司将bond交给trustee，由trustee卖给investor。所以在
stated day就记做bond payable。
关于issue between interest date, 我想公司是为了发放利息时候的简单方便（对
investor按比例发放利息，不用再做accrue之类的工作），就索性在investor购买的时
候就把先前accrue的利息收上，到时候再还给investor。 |
