，能在四大打拼几年，还是值得的。

N年过后,发现留在四大的男同事,都早早结婚生子,妻子大都是清闲的工作的,春风得意,
promote的很快;女同事结婚的,大都早早离开,留下的有很大的概率要么婚姻悲剧,要么
决然一身,上班光鲜照人,周末酒吧买醉,听听那些女senior manager的知心话让人肃然
落泪，冷冻卵子和收养绝对是大家底下的一个热话题，有成功的，但太少了，glass
ceiling 就在那，不管你看不看的见。
四大也有相对audit tax不那么赶的部门，如做风险内控咨询的，但是出差多，有时可以做到基本不用租房了，整天柔柔的飞。。。 | a***8

And i find out my age is kind of old for working in a CPA firm, i am the
same age as my managers now. My coworkers as the same level as mine are 5
years younger than me and with no child, so they can travel or work over
time.

LZ and working in a local cpa firm for couple of years already, so i kind
of know what is the life. Big 4 work load may be even more than my job.
LZ, If you want to work at big 4, taking care of your family and children,
and study for your CPA exam, be prepare your life will be very busy.
According to my own experience, i suggest you to consider the following
factors, before you decide to work in Big 4 cpa firm:
1. How old is your kid(s)? young baby is very demanding, any help in your
family to take care of your baby? e.g. daycare, or nanny.
2. How often you expect to travel or work over time while working in a Big 4
?
3. How supportive your spouse is? If you need to travel or work over time,
does your spouse willing to take care of your kid?
4. Do you need to study for the CPA exam?

发帖数: 8 | 16 I am happy for you. At the age of 35, it's not easy to get an opportunity
for big 4 as we know, they like to hire young kids to burn them out. But you
will have lots of exposure though.
However, after working for the internship, you really need to think about
your kids. Mom should play a more active role in raising their kids, not
only providing materials, but also and most importantly spending time both
qualitatively and quality. Looking back in the years ahead, you may find you
miss out wonderful time when your kids need you most. And an opportunity to
grow up with your kids does make a difference in your kids' development
process. Children do have a special bondage with their mums if mum spend
time with them.

公司。不过我不是很担心，因为老公比较支持，而且他下班下得早，也比较喜欢带娃娃
。我觉得还是看你老公的态度了吧。 | l**********y

It's very stressful to work there. You will need to get up when your baby is
still sleeping and go back home when everyone has already gone to bed. In
big four, work is life and life is work. It means no life
But it is the best place to build your career.

了，又有小孩，真是多一个小时抽不出来。

to work for big 4.
You can try to get a taste of what big 4 firm workload is like during your
internship and try to decide whether you want to stay or not.
According to my experience, if your husband is very supportive of your
family and your kids, it might be ok for you to work for big 4. For me, my
husband is very supportive, he cooks every meal. My in-laws take care of my
daughter. I basically do not have to do anaything but work.
You really have to have a supportive family for you to be able to work for
big 4. The hours are very tough. 9pm-10 or 11 happens very often. Even in
some offices, 9am - 1 or 2am next day happens very often too.

，现在要开始找下一份工作了，才知道四大的工作经验是多么的宝贵和值钱。I wish I
fought hard to get in Big 4 like 5 years ago. 没有孩子，所以不能感同身受的
给lz建议，但不管选择放弃或者坚持，lz都要加油哦！！

I knew Big 4 is not for us. My husband is very supportive, but I like to
stay with my kid, and I don't want to miss his fun age. I went to industry,
and got a very good entry-level job compared to my classmates. It was a big
public company, so I learned a lot of things, and also got my CPA license.
Usually we need to work overtime during month end, and for other days, at
most 8 hours a day. After I got my CPA license, I jumped to another company
with good raise, and also 8 hours at most for a day. I think industry is
good for people at our age with kids. But CPA, your hard skills and soft
skills are more important than big 4 experience. Also try to learn some IT
skills, and that will be a big plus for you to succeed in your career. |
