during your big 4 years, it'll be easier to get positions in those

target in a very specialized industry, such as banking, financial
institutions (PE, insurance, then your general audit experience (both
technical and soft skills) will carry you far in the private section (I
meant companies other than public accounting firms). Industry focused
experience will help you certainly, but it's not the only factor in hiring
or in your career advancement. I speak from my own experience as well as
several other coworkers of mine. As long as you are able to convince the
hiring companies that you are the best candidate and your audit experience
can draw synergies in whatever you do. Success waits ahead. |
