in year 1, if there was no dividend declared in year 1 and company only paid
dividend in year 2, when we calculate EPS in year 2, do we need consider /
deduct dividend in arrears of year1 (F7 multiple choice-EPS)? Thanks |
F******d 发帖数: 1 | 2 I think you should deduct the dividend not paid in year 1 .
Since it is cumulative,"any preferred dividend not paid in any year
accumulates and must be paid in the future before dividends can be paid to
common shareholders."
stock
paid

x******l 发帖数: 104 | 4 The answer only deducts year 2 dividend. Becker lectures said: for
cumulative preferred stock,we consider how much dividend we owed to
preferred stockholders (P/S x percentage%)regardless whether it's declared
or paid. Are they different when we calculate dividend availabe to common
stockholders and EPS? Suffering..Thank you for you guys reply. |

before you conside common stock dividends in Year 2.
