attorney but firm pays
all the costs. Before GC approval, they wont fire and i will not quit. They
only pay me the minimum
wage required by H1-B, the prevailing wage less than $40,000, no room for
wage raise before GC., that
means about 4-5 years. No raise even i become a CPA before GC. Of course it
is a GC / low pay exchange.
Will you take this offer if you need to get GC by yourself? Is the salary
agreement acceptable to you?
Supposedly you are at a state like Ohio or Indiana. |

就是需要一些牺牲来换取一些东西的,不是每个人都可以拿到这种OFFER的。

下来办绿卡。起薪低了以后不好往上涨，这是我的教训。当然这样做有风险，你要权衡
利弊。如果你拖家带口的，就要稳妥一些。 |

no raise for 4-5 years is definitely not fair. I just hope I wont regret
after couple years.

我顺手在网上search了一下，找到这个帖子，当然这个帖子里说的不一定对的，你可以
参考一下,自己到网上search了一下会计专业的人如何才能申请EB-2 Green Card。看来能否走
EB2有关键一点，Does the Job require EB2 credentials? 这个小 CPA firm 要向USCIS证明你给他们干的这个活确实要求达到EB2 credentials。

depends on location.Besides, I think it is illegal to pay the PERM fee by
yourself.
Better to ask an attorney first. |

发帖数: 1920 | 8 You are right, 40,000 is only for H1-B. I consulted an attorney,the
prevailing wage for GC is about 50,000 and this CPA firm agrees to pay after
GC approval, which is allowed. The firm will pay all the costs for GC
including PERM fee, application fees and legal fees, but they consider this
a part of my compensation, so no raise during my working years, I just don't
feel comfortable about this.

发帖数: 1920 | 9 The eligibility of EB2 is really tricky, you are right!
I have classmates in NYC succeed in EB2, I was recommended this Chinese
attorney in NJ. Master's degree is a must, CPA certificate definitely helps,
at least with the PERM advertising. I do have a Master in Accountancy, but
no CPA. I have to take a chance, the firm's support is the most important,
then the luck. The attorney told me they can make it a case if the firm can
be very supportive, means basically do whatever attorney tells them to do.
I will have to try EB3 if EB2 fails.

发帖数: 381 | 10 听说会计走EB2的都是有很多年工作经验的人，映象中这里有人提到过四大里都是至少
senior 或者至少manager level的人才走EB2。也许是我记错了。你问过attorney，你
一开始工作就能马上申请EB2吗？ 如果这是你的第一份会计工作，估计得要好几年经验
才能直接申请EB2吧？等你达到申请EB2的条件开始申请，又得好多年才批下来吧。你自
己算算，要多少年才能从这个公司跳出来？听说要证明让你干的会计方面这个职位达到
EB2 credentials也不是那么容易的吧。 |

了，在小地方entry level给这个工资还可以，如果加上那地方房子便宜，也会过的下去。这个公司也挺厉害的，这个工资得压榨你多少年啊。

过两年会后悔，周围的都加薪升职，我就更像了Loser了。现在就感觉挺无奈的。

发帖数: 193 | 13 有得就有失嘛。如果只是工资低一点但是在这个firm能有发展，比如能学到东西，工资
不涨但职位涨，那也还行啊。等你看到别人长工资的时候就想想那些h1b第五年不知前
途改怎么办一边急找能马上开始办卡的工作一边考虑实在不行回国的人吧。现在四大的
政策应该是不到manager不开办绿卡，至少我的firm是这样的。五年后要是上边不给升
manager不就惨了？

发帖数: 79 | 15 你可不可以跟公司商量说你自己承担绿卡的费用，但要求公司给你高一些的工资+每年
正常涨工资？不然感觉lz有些吃亏。而且绿卡申请到后期完全可以自己做的，不需要律
师的帮助，就不会花很多钱。
当然有得必有失，但lz还是可以试一下把自己的失减到最小。
