发帖数: 4735 | 1 Just would like to share my story of my JP boss, let's call him boss A. i
worked @ his company as an accountant/Bookkeeping clerk for little less than
3 years couples of
years ago.
Boss A is an American owns a corporate in NJ, he owns number of offices in
different locations in the East coast, he has more than100 employees in
total.
I worked in his main office, in Admin office, to handle payroll, book
keeping of general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
he loves to hire foreigners and supports their H1b1 visas, and he even
sponsors the green card for the empoyees and their spouse. Boss A has his
own lawyer to help
him to get away for the minimum pay when applying H1B1 visa. Me and some
international workers are his "cheap labor", Boss A paid me less than $29,
000
and stay the same salary for all the years i worked for him, and he never
gave me a raise. he sponsored my H1B visa,and i paid my application fee and
lawyer fee. If one of the us, the admin staff, asked Boss A about raise, he
told
us we should feel happy that we earn more than the minimum hourly wage
required by
the state law. (He did pay most of his workers the minimum wage) and he
thinks the
admin staff are very expensive. Every time the state increased the minimum
wage, then he would give a raise to the workers who earn the minimum wages.
He still acted like he did them a favor by increase their wages by $2 per
hours.
I got good pay raise for the job offer from a cpa firm after i passed all my
cpa exam and they agree to sponsor my H1B visa transfer. When i told boss A
i was quiting, he acted so surprised, and could not believe why someone
will
hire me and sponsor my the H1 visa transfer. Of course, i never told him
the pay raise
as well. Haha, he seems live in another world than us...he never
understand $29,000 is a low pay job for accountant.he even tell us that he
can hire a CPA to be his CFO in the companyfor $55,000/year with $500
holiday bonus..
Ok, he think he is a very kind person to give year end bonus.
I got my $80 first year, $120 second year, $150 third year . and the
senior accountant worked for him about 5 years got $300 bonus. | C******8

employee ask about the health insurance, he told the employee you don't need
one, since you're young and healthy...

是了. 老板如果招不到人, 自然会增加工资. 他不加工资也能招到人说明有人愿意接受
这个工资.
我以前的roommate, 美国人,日本话讲的和日本人一样流利. 在NY开sushi店,店里都雇
用的是日本女孩, 然后全部pay最低工资. 他的话就是她们有小费拿阿. 要知道饭店的
最低工资比普通的最低工资还要低. 这个做法成功的前提就是有日本女孩愿意拿最低工
资在他的sushi店做. 而这个前提显然是成立的. |
