发帖数: 8 | 1 I got a contract offer ($55/h) from a staffing company. The job is with
Google but payroll and contract are with the agency. I am a Canadian Citizen
so the risk is I may have to leave the country if Google is not happy with
me. The agency says they have tons of projects going on with Google and
other companies so they would be able to find me another one if this one
ends. I am on TN visa.
I currently work for a Chinese company. I am so sick of the politics and
nonsense here. I have had a phone interview with Google and they are happy
with me.
I need to get back to them today. Any comments are welcome. Thanks a lot!! |

I guess you are a W2 employee of that Agency company.
$55/hr as a W2 contractor is a good salary.

发帖数: 8 | 5 Thanks to everyone. I decided to give it a try.
It is a contract position and the compensation is about the same as my
current job. Also the company won't sponsor Green Card. That is why I have
my hesitation. On the other hand, I think it is a great opportunity for me.
My background is not that strong. I hope things would work out and I don't
get fired by Google.
