g*****t 发帖数: 53 | 1 Hi,
I just got a telephone interview opportunity for a senior SAS programmer
position at Towers Watson. They told me it'd take about 45 minutes.
I am wondering if anybody had any relevant info RE: their interview tha they
could share with me. I suppose most 1st round phone screening is almost
always resume oriented, and will center on technical stuff in my case, as it
's not an entry-level position, am I correct? But will I also likely
encounter some sort of behavior questions?
Thank you for you | M***e 发帖数: 836 | 2 urh... it depends on which office and practice you are interviewing with...
i've been out of the loop for quite some time, so I really don't have any
valuable insight re new interview procedures... but for actuarial positions,
the phone screenings usually entail lots of behavior questions and to a
lesser degree technical questions, which was the standard practice for
watson wyatt before merger... towers perrin's practice is a totally
different ball game... i remember when i applied to TP in my s | g*****t 发帖数: 53 | 3 MaoGe,
Thank you so much for sharing with me what you know about interview. I
really appreciate.
Here are more specifics about this position.
Location: Minneapolis, or Parsippany, NJ, or Arlington, VA
Segment Benefits
Business Area: Health and Group Benefits
Based on the job description and my quick googling, this position provides
technical support to a section which seemingly belongs to Watson Wyatt, so
maybe some behavior questions will be asked.
Thank you again for your time.

| g*****t 发帖数: 53 | 5 So Towers Watson called me this morning. Surprisingly, it's their recruiter,
not any technical head or supervisor of the position, who "interviewed" me.
A few usual questions:
1, tell me about yourself RE your experience matching our job requirement.
2, Are you working now? Why were you let go? How much do you make at last
employer?
3, How far do you live from Arlington,VA?
4, Where did you find this position?
.....
Then at the end, she told me that this position has been open for a while,

| l*****y 发帖数: 130 | 8 So, the first phone screen is conducted by a company recruiter. She/he
recorded what you've talked for HM's review. Then, if the HM is interested
in you, they will contact you for second round phone interview. And that
second phone interview will usually be conducted by HM. The third step would
be on-site if they would like. It seems a long process. Good luck to LZ! | g*****t 发帖数: 53 | 9 What did you mean by "robin woman"?
Thank you for the suggestion of following up with a thank-you note. Without
your reminder, I would had totally forgotten it, due to the overwhelming
disappointment.
