pricing group有一个空缺,immediate hire,必须能在一个月内开始，H1B可以办的，但
如果有OPT就最好，不然可能要自己pay 加急的钱。这个空缺会是顶替我现在的
replacement,因为我要move 到西部的office去，11月走。老板说我走之前要先把新人
train 好，所以找人很急。有大量的SAS programming, 还有predictive modeling的东
西，要求SAS和Excel一定要好，能马上开始工作，不需要重新学SAS的，考试1门就行。
下面是我之前的job description,仅供参考。关键还是能马上开始，还有SAS要强。
Conduct rigorous actuarial studies of rate adequacy and loss reserve
sufficiency and simulation and stochastic modeling of insurance problems.
• Produce preliminary analyses of rates, pricing assumptions, and
reserves for review by the department actuaries.
• Prepare regulatory filing exhibits and explanations as
appropriate. Work with the legal department to ensure pricing compliance
with insurance regulations and inform administrative departments of
applicable pricing procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of all work
suitable for compliance examiners to audit. Visit state insurance
departments to obtain copies of public documents and answer regulator
questions as necessary.
• Compare and analyze competitors’ pricing, products, and
strategies as requested. Assist in the design of promotional materials for
new products and check such materials for accuracy and consistency with
filed programs.
• Conduct reviews of product performance trends to determine (a)
expected returns on equity commensurate with corporate goals, and (b)
compliance with all appropriate regulatory rules.
• Work with other departments (Information Systems, Claims,
Accounting, Legal, Customer Quality Center) to make sure new products and
programs are correctly set up to allow historical data collection for risk
and actuarial analysis.
• Conduct special studies of commissions, expenses, delinquency,
frequency or severity trends, or any other aspect of the company’s
operations as requested to assist company management. Conduct annual updates
of key parameters used in various pricing, reserving, and other models.
另外一个opening在customized solution 组，有点miscellaneous assignment的
acturial group. 相比pricing 好处是工作压力小，这个group的老板相当nice（相对
于pricing那边来说），开始时间可以稍微后一点，但应该也是in the next two
months. 我们公司sponsor h1b的，但是case by case，如果能拿到interview请
confirm with HR.
