USB can support up to 127 devices at a time, but there are some issues
involved in connecting more than one or two. You can't just daisy-chain any
USB to any other device with a USB connector available, as you can (subject
to some limitations) with ADB and SCSI devices; you can connect an
additional USB device only to one that is classified as a "hub" in USB
terminology. The iMac itself is a hub, of course, and so is its keyboard.
