can simulate. "Backup"
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/backup.html can backup
your settings to your iDisk space as well.
If you don't have a .Mac account, you can build your own server and point
the following two host names to your own server:
www.mac.com
idisk.mac.com
You can either manipulate your DNS server (if you have access) or edit
your /etc/hosts.
