Thanks for those who provided your thoughts, which make it a lot easier for me to make the decison.
After work, I went directly to the AT&T store and exchanged my iphone 3g with a 3gs. Paid the the difference -100USD plus restocking fee. 3 gs runs faster. I am very happy about the decision.:)
Perhaps it is still to early to say, but i haven't had any overheating problem. I have been playing for my new toy for a few hours now.

but if it doesn't matter to you (eg, no desire for complicated games), then just save the money. I have a 3G, it works perfectly for my needs. |

But i have decided that I will replace 3g with 3gs .
