运行的都是很基本的ms office，latex，itunes，ical，safari
当然safari是很过分的，退出以后基本能剩下有接近1G
但还是觉得很过分，只是没有办法后悔升级雪豹
为什么mac越来越windows了
大家如何解决这种丢内存的问题？ |

Here is a server we have:
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 4052996 3783940 269056 0 275708 2421580
~256M is "free"

而且不仅仅是show 100m的问题，机器真的很慢一些大的程序很难打开
从前2G的内存根本跑不动snow leopard，那时的机器基本和windows末期的感觉一样了
，动辄屏幕就不动了

但是倒是不至于明显变慢啊。2G即使是Leopard也会比较慢吧。

regret on the spot when SL upgrade is done...
no new utility for me at all yet have to plan quitting apps to release
memory all the time

我们win 7，开着各种office,浏览器音乐播放器，4G也能剩个一半

The memory report should give the accurate memory usage. Memory usage up
once a process launched, and down once it's over. That's the purpose of
having this command.

But it's because it's used, not because it's displayed in such a way. That
said, if app's are shut down, you should see free amount up.

If you are concerned what's taking up the RAM, you can always sort by memory
usage.
My experience is, Safari will use a lot of RAM. And it seems it will use
more if you have more memory installed.
