The only thing is its protocol is non-standard and its UDP data channel is
encrypted. If there is any Airplay compatible LCD monitor, that would be
perfect.
Is this kind of things Android has been able to do yet?

not sure whether the apple tv 2 will support airplay mirroring or not.
Also this might be a good opportunity for game developer.
Personally, I like to use itouch as game controller instead of ipad.
