exchange)。为了省2-3%的手续费,要改用ACH清算,要绑定用户的SSN,驾照,
checking account。Track用户的location和health 信息,用二维码结帐。用户将要承
担fraud风险,丧失30天免息还款等保障。

retailing sector is 4.x%. WMT is even lower although they are the biggest,
at 3-3.5%, out of nearly half trillion revenue. So they have very strong
incentives, although I doubt anything related to money will be successful if
the end result is to cut the banks out, which is MCX intention.

lot of money to rent and maintain. but if you don't have better solution, do
not rush to eliminate the parking lot yet. CurrentC is a much worse
solutions for the consumer compared with Apple Pay or even the traditional
card swipe. and don't even get me started on all the fraud and chargeback
nightmares once they actually launch this thing.

retailer的利润。但是你似乎根本意识到在看问题的角度上,ApplePay/GoogleWallet/
Softcard等是完全和这个MCX不同的。
MCX的目标就是要把想尽一切办法把这2-3%拿回来,A,G,S的产品是试图从消费者的角
度上让这个交易进行的能更顺利。两者出发点就不同。单纯从简化支付过程,更平滑更
顺畅这一点来讲,MCX在没出生基本就已经死了,更不要提MCX采用的技术的安全性和其
他家相比较了。
你是可以争论商家拿回这2-3%的费用,可以降低商品价格,给客户更好优惠。可是你有
没有想到:
1)现在商家早就精明的将这个merchant processing fee转嫁到消费者头上了,他们的
确被信用卡网络cut了一刀,可实际上根本就没那么他们说的那么夸张
2)就算拿回来了,你没有2-3%以上优惠,你不可能鼓励消费者去用的(太多信用卡有稳
定2%回报,更不要说fraud protection,purchase protection,extended warranty等
)。商家就算一开始能放血来吸引顾客来用,难道他们能放一辈子?
更不要说商家要收集的那些消费者信息了,这是多么令人creepy的感觉。以前就信用卡
公司,银行收集一下。现在你去的每一家MCX里面的商店每一家都会有你的所有信息。

they do not have the expertise to compete against banks, that's no question
about it. As I said, it's all about money, a lot of. If retailers get some
cut (i.e., lower transaction cost), they will more than likely to play along
. It is a bargain chip. AGS has no skins in the game, it is banks vs.
retailers. I am in no disillusion that the lion share of the transaction
cost-savings will go to consumers. They will go to either banks or retailers
, the question is who get what percentage. For myself, I go with plastic
place zero liability on me.

payment methods. CC vs. cash/check, a big step change. Make things even
better, CC and cash share a home called wallet. contactless payment? Not so
much, on both count. |
