Almost stepped on a rattlesnake 5 min after I got off car.
Killed a small bird with arrow, but lost bird in a thorny bush (it flew
there with last bit of strength) and lost my arrow. Saw a white tail running
away, sure it is a cottontail rabbit. Then met a cow family, two cubs. The
female was somewhat agitated so we backed away.
On our way out, in the car we saw a coyote 20 yards up. Rushed out of car
but lost it... Would've been a perfect hunt if bagged the coyote, will trade
all arrows in my quiver to get it.

Feelings on small game hunting --- use low poundage and a stump head. My #65
set up meets the bird and doesn't make any change so the arrow is hard to
recover. Maybe 30-40 is enough.
Any good tips on avoiding snakes? | h*****8 发帖数: 1896 | |
