I suggest you not change your major to Art.
I just changed from architecture to CS.
Artisit = poor. (of course in China, Architects are rich, but I still changed,
cause art is only art. to be your career is not so good.)
If you think you have 天分, you can learn it by youself. If you cannot, you
cannot do well in this major, even you get professional education.
Not everybody can do well in Art,such as drawing.

very seriously, then go ahead. But if you are only intereted in it, just only
be interested in it, without devotion.
Thus, the key is if you really wanna to devote, or only like it.
I guess most of people only like sth., do not want to devote in sth.
If you like CS, you can be a CSist. If you only like Art, please do not be a
Artist, unless you only like art, no other majors.

thought so.
But after I changed my major to CS, I found architecture design is not
creative. It is only "copies", or "revised copies", or "copies revised more".
you also can say any other majors are "copies", but many of them are more
creative than art. In art, "creation" is not really "creative".

you should at least get a job that'll support your life.
art isn't an easy job for most human beings. starting
from very young till even recently, people keep saying
i'm very talented and should do arts. but when i saw
those professionals doing 20-bucks portraits on 5th ave/
central park for a living, i know that'll never be an
ideal life for people.

Architect = not very poor. If your career is also something you really enjoy,
then it's worth to trade off something like money. And what kind of CS job you
are doing now, I doubt it's more interesting than architecture.

不过总的来说，那几个朋友的都比较有趣一些。
艺术是精神活动的最高层，资源消耗最大，所以特别需要社会

得有点贵，没有买，聊了几句，突然下雨了，风把他的小台子吹到了，画掉到的到处都是
，又下雨...40多岁了，那还是冬天，挺冷的。
不觉得这算是理想生活。

measure others' life. i make decent money but i'm not satisified
w/ my life either, i have two motorcycles, house, boat, guitars,
drums, many friends and many women, but this is not satisifying.
i still regret that i changed my major to engineer. i play soccer
w/ some mexicans, and they make a fraction of what i make. but
they are the happiest people i ever met.

to express my thinking accurately. the main point is in your last
sentence. the previous ids were argueing whether the desire for
arts is "real feeling" or "just for sth new and seemingly fun".
i have to say that most people fall into the latter category. and
that's the issue the previous ids wanted to warn people before
they make any decision. of course, to try sth new isn't bad at all,
if one can afford the time and effort, and

well i have busy times too. i don't get paid half mil a year, but
i don't save money either. and here,i don't read, i found one post
and that's the only one i pay attention to in a while.
