Set for a July 3 launch, NASA's Comet Nucleus Tour, or CONTOUR, will soon
provide scientists with the first in-depth study of the behavior and evolution
of multiple comets as they race toward the sun. CONTOUR will visit at least
two comets, comparing their differences and similarities while examining the
nucleus of each.
