从来没有保养过车, 不知道是不是该去dealer那里, 还是修车铺那里. 换brake pads的
话, 是不是原厂的更好些? 毕竟是关乎安全的.
给dealer打过电话, regular service要价400多块, 换brake pads要300多, 是不是有
点太贵了? |

a Volvo.

If you've got reliable mechanic in your area, go for it. I didn't demean the
value & importance of dealer job.
If you watched them doing the same job 30 times / day, and done 5+ times
yourself. You will know what to do.

will go to dealership. I went to dealer because it's more convenient, (
loaner car or shuttle service), I don't have time during the night/weekend
to fix cars and the price is affordable.
If I had time and skills, why not fix cars at home? Remember, most of greasy
monkeys don't have much education, they just do it by experience and some
TSB training.

换闸皮很简单吗? 记得买车的时候, 车铺的人把轮子卸了下来, 似乎就是检查brake
pads and rotors的. 自己换的话, 需要卸轮子吗?

Actually you are selling a crap here. People are not supposed to do
everything by themselves just for saving
some $, especially a car.
I believe LZ buying a Volvo for its safety. Would you put your car in a so-
claimed-machenic for half price?
Never ever bet your safety and your live for that cheap!
