发帖数: 3343 | 8 I bought my Elantra Touring(ET) earlier last year for $16.5k OTD incl. 6.5%
sale tax. It's Auto + GLS + trunk cargo cover.
As I also have a 2004 Camry, some of comparisons are between these two cars.
I know it's not fair comparison as they belong to different category. But
it's my personal experience which I hope is helpful to others.
The things I like about my 2010 ET:
- Space. It's very roomy for driver/passengers, almost same size as mid-size
car. I feel it's almost as roomy as my Camry, including both front and back
seats.
- peppy at highway speed.
- small turning circle, easy for parking at tight spot
- steering wheel control is heavier and more precious than my Camry
- much stronger braking power comparing with my Camry
- long warranty
- nice feature CD/XM radio/Ipod/Aux/USB connection are standard feature.
Same as 4-disc brake, ESP & TCS, as well as active headrest for safety
features.
- Overall it's good value for your hard earned money.
Cons on ET:
- Only 4-speed automatic. The RPM is 3k at 70 mile/hour.
- Gas mileage is average.
- Engine a bit noisy if you accelerate it hard.
- 加速a bit 肉 from standing point comparing with my Camry, but it's
expected (2L vs. 2.4L engine). Highway passing is fine.
- Ride is a bit rough/bumpy as it's "sporty". It did improve after 3k miles
of driving.
- Higher maintenance cost. It still uses timing belt. Even oil change at Wal
-Mart is a bit higher(~$3) than my old Camry.
In term of driving experience, I like it better than Camry. |
