Toyota Motor Corp. 7203.TO +1.32% agreed to pay about $1.1 billion to
install new safety equipment and reimburse owners of up to 16 million cars
to settle a U.S. class-action suit stemming from 2009-10 recalls related to
complaints of unintended acceleration in its vehicles.
