Automobile版 - My car suddenly stopped again a few days after the starter has been replaced. Is it normal? |

My car couldnot be started two weeks ago. It is Toyota 2004. We tested the
starter and it did not work. So we changed the starter ourselves (we
uninstalled the battery too. The battery worked well, so we installed it
back). The car worked for a few times after the starter was replaced. Today
I drove the car on local roads and stopped at a red light. When the light
turned green, I proceeded, but found out that the car could not be
controlled. Neither the accelerator pedal nor the brake pedal responded to
my stepping. I stopped the car besides the road. After a few minutes, I
turned off the engine and restarted it again. It worked well again.
I am so scared that it would happen again. Should we trade it in for a new
car? I am not sure whether it is normal after the starter is replaced or
after the battery was reinstalled. Any idea?
Also we want to avoid Toyota for the next car. Can we trade-in this Toyota
car when we purchase a Honda ?
Any advice is greatly appreciated. | A*****a

这个不是starter和battery的问题。先去买瓶throttle bottle cleaner把节气们清洗
一下。顺便检查一下有没有进气系统的管路漏气。如果问题依旧，最大的可能是点火系
统的问题。

发帖数: 27064 | 4 是不是类似自动加速那种系统死机啊，不过因为死机时不在高速运行状态，所以一直没
什么事故导致死人或者投诉，所以一直没被人重视？
赶紧出手换辆车吧，这车还能卖个不错的价钱 | e**q
