quity stake of less than 10% in Tesla for a reported US$50 million.
On July 13, 2009, Daimler AG sold 40% of their May acquisition to Aabar Inve
stments PJSC. Aabar is an investment company controlled by the International
Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), which is wholly owned by the Governmen
t of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
On May 20, 2010, Tesla and Toyota announced a partnership to work on electri
c vehicle development, which included Toyota's US$50 million future conditio
nal investment[130] in Tesla and Tesla's US$42 million purchase of a portion
of the former NUMMI factory.

我没有本人participate tesla 的 placement or MB 的 40% sale
但是稍微在网上查一下就看得出,Daimler 2009用50mm买了将近tesla10%的股份。
Toyota2010年用50mm买了3% 的股份。
Daimler卖掉40%他的特四啦投资现在还有4.7%特四啦股票。
就是说他用30mm2009年投资拿下现在4.7% tesla while toyota used 50mm in 2010 to
take 3%

而且toyota 公开表示他们不认为 电子车有巨大市场。Daimler是全球第一个投资研发

Oh, a side-fact: Toyota's 2.5% needs Daimler's approval. That's speaks to
the weights of shareholders inside Tesla.

deal at all. They are not a dying company that needs to exit from EV
business.
In fact, Daimler invested way more and way early in this business than
Toyota.
As of Oct 31st, they still have 4.3% of Tesla stake and plan to hold onto it
