merging traffic u mentioned is a bit of similar to another scenario
--three lanes involved; both the left-most and right-most lane
drivers want to change lane or say merge to the middle lane;
they kinda drive in a “rectangle" form, i.e., both two cars' heads
and tails form a rectangle, so one driver can clearly see the other
driver's looking. Under this circumstance, whichever side wants to
change lane, the other side can notice it, hence the accident may
be avoided.
But, this youtube case is another story. The male driver and
the female one are not in a "rectangle" form. They rather are
in a "parallelogram" form -- both drive parallel, but the male
is ahead of the female. How can he predict that somebody out of
nowhere will crash him from the behind?

When I see an aggressive driver coming on my way, I give he/she "the right
of way". Ok, he/she is the king/queen. I just don't damn care.
