Up to 500,000 cars in Houston were severely damaged or destroyed in the
floods that engulfed much of the city over the last week, according to
preliminary estimates from Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book.
At least 300,000 vehicles will likely be total losses, Atlanta-based Cox
Automotive, the parent company of Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book, said
Friday.
The estimated damages range from $2.7 billion to $4.9 billion, according to
Cox Automotive.
