噪音从前端靠近driver side，属于那种high pitch高频噪音。一开始开local没有噪音
，然后开highway
突然噪音开始了，感觉好像有个马达进入高速旋转状态就随之产生了噪音。如果这是减
速 发动机转速下降 这个噪音还在 并不减弱。
怀疑是transmission问题 就自己换了transmission filter 加入新的fluid， 问题依
旧。
想在板上高人请教一下，会是什么问题。车已经有160k了。。。谢谢 |

再来就是wheel bearing
老车问题不少，轮胎的支系统不少东西都到寿命了。
你提到high pitch高频噪音，大概率是wheel bearing问题，但是其他的问题可以引起
wheel bearing加速磨损。 |

Or belt squeaking? Once it starts, when you idle the car, does is stop?
For the overheating problem, do you have a good scanner to read live data,
such as coolant temperature? Do you have an infrared thermometer (20 bucks)
to measure engine block temperature and radiator temperature?
Is your coolant level okay? If the radiator is warm and the engine hot, the
thermostat may have stuck closed.
With many possibilities, it is hard to provide good advice without actually
seeing the car.
It might be a good idea to bring it to a good dealership for diagnostics and
see if it is a DIY job to fix. It probably only costs $99 to $199 to
diagnose.

着youtube一步步做完。试开了2miles，就发觉engine 温度计竟然一个劲的转，到了最
高H mark，赶紧熄火，掀开盖子一摸radiator竟然是凉的，估计这个新的thermostat还
没有打开，进入正常工作状态。准备明天多加点coolant，再测试一次。谢谢。。。 |

看油温，相互对照一下。
貌似你的coolant 有缺失，要确认是不是缸垫漏。看看机油是否有乳化迹象。还有看看
有没有coolant 外漏

There should be either one or two air bleed valves on the engine block.
Make sure to open the bleeder valves when filling the coolant and fill until
coolant emerges from the valves. Then close the valves and keep filling
from the top of radiator. Do not just fill the expansion tank.
Also, technically, you need to turn on the car (engine off) and turn heater
all the way to hottest setting with low fan. The coolant should go to the
heater core for the cabin. This will ensure the cabin heating loop is open
when you are filling coolant
If the water pump is running, technically the cooling system is self-
bleeding.
Thus, it is somewhat strange. The camry uses a simple mechanical thermostat
without electrical connections for different cooling profiles, right?

（这个很不好装，第一次parts还是次品，所以花了两个周末搞定），换了drive belt
。alternator没换（有点贵，而且工作性能好像正常）。
都装好了，今天试车，一点就着，没问题，运行起来好像比原来好不少，但是老问题依
旧.具体如下，请大家帮忙看看：
（1）engine好像还是很热，根据Seymour的建议买了个infra temperature scanner，
在开了高速20分钟后，测表面温度是280F 在engine front cover， 180F 在engine
top， 175F在coolant outflow pipe。请见附图。
以上温度属于正常吗？
（2）在车刚启动，或者转弯的时候，可以听到水流动的声音，我估计是coolant 流动
时候的发出的声音。但是我以前好像没有听到这种水流动的声音，这个正常吗，还是说
明有什么part malfunction吗？
（3）high pitch noise还在，在速度上到60-70mph，会出现，如果在当时把 D档换到
空档（N）噪音依旧。不懂这是什么问题...

175 F engine head coolant hose is normal. It is better to directly measure
the radiator temperature. train the IR gun on aluminum parts of the radiator

Overall everything looks reasonable.
The cooling system should be completely filled with liquid with no air. Thus
, it would be impossible to hear any coolant flowing. I think you have a low
fluid condition somewhere. You will hear liquid flowing if the line has air
. Is your transmission fluid low? There could be a transmission cooler line.
If you get air in the transmission cooler line, it will make gurgling noise
.
No fluid line in your vehicle should have air in it. Check for oil cooler
line, transmission cooler line, power steering line to see if the noise
could come from air in those lines. |

Very unlikely. If you rev the engine before the car warms up, do you hear
the high pitch noise?
Typically there has to be a restriction for the exhaust gaskets to whistle.
For example, blocked catalytic converter. However in that case you should
have seriously drivability issue. (car loses power, or idle poorly.)
There should not be enough pressure to produce high pitch noise unless
airflow is restricted.
If the high pitch noise sounds like air being forced through an opening, (
vacuum leak sound) the EGR system is primary suspect. For example the PCV
valve stuck open can lead to high pitch noise at idle. The engine most
likely have a vacuum pump for brake assist etc. Other places could also have
vacuum leaks if that is what you are hearing.
If you still have air in the cooling system, it would be a serious issue. Do
not drive the car. If you open the top of the radiator, the coolant should
be filled all the way to the brim. If not, you have a low coolant issue.
There should be engine block vent valves on the engine. Open the vent valve,
add coolant until overflow. Then close vent valve, keep adding coolant
until the radiator overflows. I do not know where the vent valves are on
the I4 Camry. You can find a factory manual on eBay that have shop procedure
for doing these. If I figure out a way to upload pictures later today, I
can try to post the shop procedure for a V6 Lexus.

地方温度高很多，无法用那个温度计显示。那个显示的仅仅是测量位置的水温，并不是

了，有点漏，换了就好了。
楼主有时间，买个radidator, 如果handy的话，一个小时就差不多换好了。

No, the noise is not there until the speed reaches 60-70 mph. everything
looks quite normal when rev up the engine at the beginning or drive below
60mph.

我只能用排除法了，下一步是考虑要不要把manifold exhaust 和gasket换了， 如果
noise 还在，我就真不知道怎么办了，如果noise是transmission 或者engine problem

用seymour推荐的方法,run the engine , and then squeeze the inlet and outlet
pipe to dispel the possible air bubbles.

pump works fine running smoothly with no leak.
radiator，2年前换的，状况还行，就没动。旧的radiator有一天井喷了，hot coolant
gushed out。。。这次把radiator的风扇给换了，一开始以为是风扇的noise。。。谢

diameter coolant hoses.
1AR-FE radiator also has oil cooler hoses that are much thinner at the
bottom of the radiator. The Camry engine may or may not have them.

water pump现在工作正常，coolant水流动的声音也消失了，cooling system应该工作
正常
high pitch noise原因估计可以确认了，就是manifold exhaust 的问题，这个
manifold 是10年前换的OEM parts，里面的filter 估计已经脱落后堵在了manifold的
底部末端，然后减小的气流通过的截面积，在高速上运行，combustion比较旺盛的时候
，气流穿过堵塞的末端，就像一个哨子一样发出尖锐的声音。
已经order了一个replacement manifold，过一周换好以后再来汇报一下。 |

里面的栅格物含有贵金属，说不定还能卖个好价钱。注意要证明你合法拥有的 |
