WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:
The position is responsible for the overall management of the Company's
designated hardware and software assets through each asset's life cycle.
This includes planning, facilitating and implementing established hardware
refresh plans.
Monitoring and ensuring software license compliance and updating the Terms
and Maintenance costs associated with the Hardware and Software Maintenance
Contracts.
This position requires the ability to accurately research questions from
Customers regarding software licenses and hardware assets.
This position requires excellent Customer service facilitation skills and
must be able to interact at a high level with various departments and work
multiple streams of work at the same time.
This position requires all Team members to be self motivated and able to
complete assigned tasks on schedule.
This position requires the ability to assimilate information and make solid
business decisions.
This position requires the ability to deal with ambiguity when formulating
decisions.
Minimum Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the
Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum of 5 years:
Demonstrated ability in Asset Management experience, combined with IT
Infrastructure knowledge.
Demonstrated ability in developing Asset Management Life Cycle Strategy and
has executed against strategy.
Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing Asset Management
Governance Policies for a large corporation.
Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing strategic asset
utilization with the goal to provide positive results for the Company.
Demonstrated ability in implementing and maintaining an Asset Management
Tool for a large corporation.
Demonstrated knowledge in the use of an Asset Management Toolset, such as
BMC's tool.
Demonstrated ability in optimizing asset control and inventory management
processes to track identification, location, contracts, maintenance and
lifecycle status of assets.
Demonstrated ability in administering Hardware and Software Maintenance
Contracts. Possesses technical knowledge to support the contracts.
Demonstrated knowledge of software license requirements (acquisition,
redeployment and upgrades.
Demonstrated ability in facilitating and following best practices for a
software audit.
Demonstrated mastery using Excel, Word and Power Point.
Minimum of 3 years:
Demonstrated knowledge of concepts and principles of an inventory and
discovery tool used in an IT asset management capacity.
Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete
tasks.
Demonstrated experience in mentoring and training within a Team.
Must have strong leadership skills and demonstrated success using these
skills.
Must be able to work well in a Team environment.
Must be able to multi task, can successfully work multiple streams of work
at the same time.
Must offer excellent Customer service skills, able to work well with
Customers at all levels.
Must be a strategic thinker, able to evaluate a problem and offer viable
options to address the problem.
Must have strong verbal communication skills, able to give presentations and
speak in front of a large group.
Must be able to facilitate requirements gathering sessions.
Demonstrated ability to understand and document business processes.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Certification in IAITAM.
ITIL V3 Certification
Experience with Visio and MS Project.
Experience managing assets in a large corporation.
Crystal Reports experience with the ability to create ad-hoc reports.
Knowledge using Remedy for completing Service Requests for Incidents. |
