of NJTU which used to belong to the Ministry of Railway,
while SJTU is financed by the Min. of Edu. The former name
of NJTU is BIR (Beijing Institute of Railway), SWJTU
(formerly Tangshan Institute of Railway), DIR (Dalian
Institute of Railway) and CIR (Changsha Institute of
Railway) are its counterparts. All of these school were born
during the "first 5-year-plan", the initial dedication was
