Look at Yankees after so many drama, what do we get?
Pitching:
Lost: Pettitte, Clemens, Weaver, Hammond, (Nelson maybe)
Added: Brown, Vazquez, a healthy Karsay, a healthy Lieber
Conclusion: if Brown is healthy then pitching didn't lose some.
Hitting/fielding:
Lost: Nick Johnson, Juan Rivera
Added: Sheffield
Conclusion: upgrade on both
Then we assume Redsox keep the current roster, what's matchup like?
Pitching:

Redsox. I do believe Redsox has a bit edge in starting rotation, mostly
because of the addition of Schilling. Brown probably will not be No. 1
starter. Contreras will not start imo. If you match Yankees' starter

Moose, Brown, Vazquez, Wells, Libeber
Pedro, CS, Lowe, Wakefield, Kim
Pedro, CS, Lowe imo have advantages against Moose, Brown and Vazquez.
