for Chad Qualls, Chris Burke and Juan Gutierrez.
Now Astros have traded away their closer and closer-to-be, what is
in Ed Wade's bag of tricks? Astros have a pretty solid offense right
now, but the pitching is depleted after Oswalt.
D'backs seems to be destined for quite a run in the next few years.
Let's hope Haren won't go through the path that so many former A's
have gone through.

for at least two more seasons. He has very little leverage and D'back
does not have to trade him away.
Chad Qualls is not bad. The guy has filthy stuff. I've got this so-called
"east coast bias" because I do not watch NLW/ALW teams play. But Valverde's
ERA+ sure fluctuates. May not be a trade for D'backs. |

His ERA+ has been consistently well above average over his career.
His KPIP and WHIP indicate he is not a fluke.
