另外我觉得他想在美国拿3000hit可能性不大，今年都37了，合同还两年，2013年都40

his conditioning is excellent. By the end of this contract,
he will have 2600 hits. He needs three more years to get to
3000. He will be able to do that. Of course, we are assuming
no major injury. That is a big if.
He already has 3000+ hits Nippon league and MLB combined. I
hope he will "break' Pete Rose's record. That way, two most
prominent hitting records are both held by Asians. lol

This is it. Not one pitcher. If Thome can get to 600HR, he
might be one too. Roy Hallday needs at least another 90 wins
to be a FBHOF. Rivera/Hoffman will be there. But I doubt that
they would be in on first ballot.
Did I miss anything?

Rivera应该FB没问题把，完全符合dominant + consistent的标准

ichiro虽然HR少，不过靠着safeco硕大的球场，刷了不少double和triple，数据也不太
难看

by the HOF voting committee. It took so many tries for Bruce Sutter
and Goosage to get in. Eckersley was a FBHOF, but he also had
almost 200Ws to back his candidacy.
I think it is very difficult for Rivera to be a FBHOF. Every thing
we say about Rivera can be said about Hoffman, except that Hoffman
does not play for a dominant team.
In fact, number wise, Billy Wagner is as dominant as Mo. I do not
think he even has a chance to g

你还是先把wagner和rivera两个人的era+ 比一比再说吧。rivera是整个mlb历史上
career era+最高，206, 第二名pedro matinez 146。trevor hoffman能不能fbhof才是
个问题，rivera不可能是个问题。

这个是最牛擦的记录，历史上只有ty cobb和pete rose各有9和10个赛季有200+ hits，》.300 BA，而且都是不连贯的，一郎老兄上来就是连续9个。就凭这个就值得hof。

据说ichiro在batting practice的时候可以很轻松的go yard,但是他革命纪律好，作为
leadoff hitter任劳任怨的single double。

Just checked baseball reference. Wagner has an ERA+ of 185. hehe
You did not get my point. Having a great ERA+ is nice. But it does
not change the fact that Rivera is a relief pitcher and only pitched
<1200 innings so far. Don't make me wrong. I absolutely love Mo and
think he deserves any accolades. I am just saying the committee
might be biased against relievers.
BTW, I'd judge a closer by his save percentage. ERA is secondary.
That is why Brad Lidge's 2008 season and Eric Gagne's 2003 sea

wagner整个career 只有832个inning pitched，差不多是rivera的70%,两个人都打了16
个赛季，这300个inning的差别本身就很说明问题，作为closer能够13，4年稳定的关门
，这样的本事wagner还差得远。
我说的是era+，是把一个pitcher和所有pitcher的平均来比较的。

I won't bore you with all the stats...especially the post season stats, and he's been doing this in such a high level for a long long time, he is no doubt a FBHOF for sure.
If you really want to compare someone with Mo, maybe Eckersley at his prime...but I think Mo is better.
The best closer in MLB this year is Tiger's Jose Valverde, he is filthy...hehe.

stuff...fastball around 90-91mph, he was hurt and then he had an elbow
surgery, after that his stuff is so much better than before, threw in the
mid-90s consistently, it was amazing. He is truly a godsend to the NYY and
all the NYY fans, haha. |

不过BP能打HR，不代表比赛能HR...
如果他认真打HR，估计一年20支到顶, 但是avg会降到300以下
这样他也就是个average或者above average
但是他现在这样只打single，却能打成HOF等级. 所以还是现在这样划算
