WS year. But Unit was just too good to be true. He had to be the most
dominant pitcher in the last thirty years, maybe even longer. To me,
Glavine and Pedro are not at his level. Maddux and Rocket are a few

this phillies team however is different. it has great pitching. no question
about it. as much as I want to stay low-key, I must admit that this Phillies
rotation is better than any other rotation in the last decade. but this
phillies team is not without shortcomings. it is way too prone to a long,
team-wide offense slump like the one that it is in right now. if there is
any silver lining out there, it is that at least this is not playoff time.
pitching and defense win games. I just hope phillies offense can catch the
lightning in the bottle at the critical moments...
i hope for a yankees and phillies rematch. cannot be better than that!

一般情况下不用担心，RP守恒嘛。关键是这次的打线不在状态，伤病占很大比重，一时

Now, Phillies losing streak has reached 8. I am very concerned. If anything,
this reminds a Phillies phan of 1964, when Phillies had a 6 1/2 lead with
12 games to play yet managed to have a colossal collapse and not to make
the playoffs. Another example was 2007 collapse of Mets. When losing
becomes regular, it is difficult to recover no matter how good the team
is.
I can just hope that Phillies win tomorrow's game. If not, Braves have
everything to play for in the last series against Phillies. It would not
be totally shocking if the losing streak reaches 12 by the end of regular
season. That would really hit the confidence of the team.
I'd quote Cole Hamels after his start today when asked how he feels about
the playoffs "I know the pitchers . . . we're ready to go". The offense,
on the other hand, needsd to fedex their bats to the clubhouse asap.
dude, this does in no way feel like a 100 win season.

the thing is...when hitters only play for individual numbers, and not for
winning and losing...sometimes they just can't focus well as before.
the collapses you were talking about happened before those teams cliched, so
that's a major difference here.
it's all about pitching,defense and timely hitting...you scratch 1 or 2 runs
and you win with your starting pitching.
if your team does not hit in the first 2 or 3 games in the playoffs, then it
's time for you to worry, which i highly doubted it will happen.
so, nothing really to worry about if i were you.
or, you can have my yankees, and i will gladly take you team instead.
