Ramirez was diagnosed with a fractured eighth rib following a CT scan, but h
e was able to field grounders and take batting practice Monday without too m
uch discomfort. He's been given painkillers and will wear protective padding
under his uniform. Ramirez was injured when he was hit by a Joe Kelly fastb
all in Game 1.
