and Dynamos(soccer)
Every year there will be players and staff member combing for activities.
The Astros always come before July 4th, and Berkman was a regular.
In one of my most memorable events, hunter Pence and Jose Valverde tangled
in a dancing match while Berkman was the judge. They would sign and toss
souvenirs into the crowd and I got a hat signed by Pence, a rubber ball
signed by Carlos Lee, yet cannot grab anything signed by Berkman. (There was
one year the hospital gave a courtesy journey of Berkman to every employee,
but those are not signed)
Now they don't do games and gift toss anymore, just sit down and do
autograph so that people don't need to fight each other-which is less fun.
Hall of fame broadcaster Milo Hamilton comes every year. Now he's the
brightest star.
Ps: we are not the official partner for the Rockets, yet a lot of my
colleagues claimed they witness Yao Ming in our lobby when his daughter was
born in our hospital.
