The thing is, AI is maybe 29 years old, and easily got $12M/year (He
reportedly got $14M/year from the Kings earlier). But Paul George is only
23 years old, and has been improving rapidly. You may think $15M/year is
fair for him if he is "same level as AI", but $8M sounds crazy to me.
In my view the Pacers should just wait a year and pay him (or match) the max
at $16M/year next summer. They are kind of too generous to offer the super
max now.

best 15-25 NBA players will surely get the MAX money. Among these players
who got paid more solely depends on their tenure. That doesn't mean the 20th
best player is as good as Lebron. Neither does it mean that the 20th best
player is overpaid at the MAX. It's just the CBA doesn't do justice to
Lebron and Durant.
For an NBA team, it's not a choice between paying the same MAX money to
Durant or George, it's just a choice between paying George the max or paying
out multiple $10M/year contracts to players of lessor caliber.

currently at the same level, I think that's still a fair judgement.
The thing is, AI is maybe 29 years old, and easily got $12M/year (He
reportedly got $14M/year from the Kings earlier). But Paul George is only
23 years old, and has been improving rapidly. You may think $15M/year is
fair for him if he is "same level as AI", but $8M sounds crazy to me.
In my view the Pacers should just wait a year and pay him (or match) the max
at $16M/year next summer. They are kind of too generous to offer the super
max now.

best 15-25 NBA players will surely get the MAX money. Among these players
who got paid more solely depends on their tenure. That doesn't mean the 20th
best player is as good as Lebron. Neither does it mean that the 20th best
player is overpaid at the MAX. It's just the CBA doesn't do justice to
Lebron and Durant.
For an NBA team, it's not a choice between paying the same MAX money to
Durant or George, it's just a choice between paying George the max or paying
out multiple $10M/year contracts to players of lessor caliber.

mil is about right. when u start talking about potential, that's tricky,
nobody knows what's going to happen. greg oden had high expectation, how did
he end up? tim duncan is damn old, who expected him get that kind of stat
that late of his career? i just don't think he's max contract player.

to Lin is just apple to orange. If you were Paul George's agent, you were
going to compare him to John Wall since he just signed a max contract. I
think Paul George is a better player than John Wall. And I hope he keeps
progressing to justify his value.

ther are lots of reasons a player gets a max contract or doesnt get it, if
wizards can sign gilbert arena for 100 mil, its understandable to sign john
wall max, why comparing lin to starbury is apple to orange?

Eric Gordon哥，6尺3undersize，刚刚大伤过，菲利克斯直接就给了4年58mil，黄蜂捏
着鼻子也只能match--人Gordon哥还很不满意。他这4年58mil，跟5年80mil，算下来一
年也就差不到2mil。
如果泡椒真能qualify那个90mil，那更不能说人家不值了不是，全联盟同位置前三连续
两年，这个价，良心价了。

防守强是体系 里面还有个黑姚明才是防住詹姆斯的关键

getting better and better. His game is very similar to Pippen's and the
question will be whether he needs a "Jordan"(another super star) to win the
title.
If Pacers win the title this year, I expect to see another move of free
agents in 2014.
