信心的勝利
經文: 「他在無可指望的時候，因信仍有指望。」（羅四18）
按照外表的情形看來，亞伯拉罕再沒有絲毫理由可以期望應許的實現了。但是
他相信耶和華的話，仍然期望他的後裔多如眾星。
我的心哪，你不像亞伯拉罕那樣，只有一個應許；在你面前擺著許多應許，許
多信心的模範；所以你應當大膽信賴上帝的話了。雖然救助也許不即來到，惡者的勢力
也許日甚一日，你不要喪膽；你還當剛強、喜樂，因為上帝最榮耀的應許都是這樣成就
的──在最沒有盼望的時候成就的。
上帝的拯救，平常總在我們極端困難、極端痛苦、極端危險的時候纔肯出現，
好叫我們清清楚楚看見這是上帝的手指，好叫我們不再信靠眼見和感覺。單單信靠上帝
的話語是最穩妥不過的，因為上帝的話語在任何情形下都是可靠的。──纀該斯該（C.
