經文: 「你們聽這不義之官所說的話。上帝的選民，晝夜呼籲他，他縱然為他們忍了多
時，豈不終久給他伸冤麼。我告訴你們，要快快的給他們伸冤了。」（路十八6~7）
上帝的時候是不能聽你指揮的。如果第一擊不能叫燧石發出火來，你就當再擊
一次。上帝聽了我們的禱告，不一定按照我們所指定的時候答應我們的；我們尋找祂，
祂必向我們顯現，不過不一定照我們所希望、所定規的時間和地點的。
在燧石時代，我們要想取得一火，必須一擊再擊，擊數十次，纔能得到；只要
能得到的話，就已經滿心感激了。
對於屬天的事情，我們為甚麼不能這樣堅忍呢？屬天的事情比擊石取火更有成
工的把握，因為我們後面站著上帝的應許。
信徒阿，不要絕望！上帝賜憐憫的時候快到了。你當用不移的信心呼求；不要
因為王的耽擱停止呼籲。再擊一次燧石罷！這一次你就會得到了。──司布眞（C. H.
