我所愛的妻子和我同居六十二年零五個月，在我九十二歲這一年，竟然離開我
去了。雖然在我這樣衰老的日子，覺得非常孤單，但是當我在房中踱來踱去的時候，我
看見我的主是一直與我同在的；我就對祂說：「主耶穌阿，我雖然孤單，仍不孤單──
祢與我同在，祢是我的朋友。現在，主阿，求祢安慰我、堅固我；祢看祢可憐的僕人需
要甚麼，祢就給他甚麼。」
多少時候，我們的心得不著滿足，是因為我們沒有在經歷上、習慣上，認識主
耶穌基督是我們的朋友：無論在甚麼時候、甚麼環境中，祂總是我們的朋友。──莫勒
