some serious thinking before we could go for a PhD=Permanent Head Damage,
and decides a career/profession, so I would like to initiate this new thread
. I would feel not wasted if it in anyway could be helpful to some
newcomers/young folks in expected/unexpected ways...I sincerely invite some
of you to reply:)), thanks...
I go first:
I made my mind to go for a PhD and a career in bio-medicine when during the
second year of | D*********t 发帖数: 370 | 2 I loved math, physics, chemistry, computer, and many others in high school.
I decided on biology as major at the end of my high school for its promises
– relatively uncharted territories (so more will be discovered) and better
chances to study abroad (I was not noble :-)).
I didn't really seriously think about why I should pursue a Ph.D. "Head
damage" was not in my vocabulary then. It was just natural for me to
continue toward a higher degree. I would probably even go higher if there
