家争功夺利似的.现在真是什么都缩水了,连诺贝尔奖都要发三个.
无奈我的collaborators很喜欢搞co-correspondent,最近竟然搞了一个三个co-
correspondent.如果让我审到这种文章,第一印象就很不好的说...

让a自己去衡量。

you.
My friend, who just applied for NIH postdoc fellowship, didn't get the
fellowship, simiply because she just has two co-first authors' papers.She
was both in the 2nd place. All three reviewers think she does not have first
author paper and lack of independence.
Therefore, as b, collect more data and write your own paper. For a, there is
really nothing to worry to put someone as co-first author. Nobody really

fuss about this, then "a" himself/herself will surfer more on his/her
reputation.
If "a" really don't want b's data, b should publish it separately as a
smaller paper.

your friend should have labeled in his/her resume "co-first-author",
otherwise no one will know except they read the paper carefully.
