2010) in the laboratory of Dr. Yongjie Yang, to study the broad neuron to
astrocyte interaction, in particular, the roles of neuron to astrocyte
signaling in astrocyte development, the mechanisms/pathways of astrocyte
dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases, such as motor neuron disease,
epilepsy, and Alzheimer’s diseases. This represents a very exciting and
