2. Upenn does not sponsor H1B unless you can't have a J1, for example you've
already applied for a green card.

approved or not. Just don't want J1 visa.

alien，是I140已被批准但I485尚未批准的申请人。你现在递NIW也于事无补。可以试试
另外两个选项：
• Current marriage to a US citizen or a US permanent resident;
• Postdoctoral trainees who received their PhD or equivalent degree in
the United States on an F-1 visa and have completed six months of post
graduate practicum.

第二条还成。我美国学校毕业的，毕业快1年了，F1 OPT, 已经申请延期了。我打算跟
他商量一下，先干一年，继续用OPT, 一年以后看能不能转 research associate ,这样
我还有7个月时间申请H1B.
请详解一下第二条好吗？是学校的政策吗？PI不是不想给工作签证，他不太懂政策，看
别人都是J1.
