q**********0 发帖数: 335 | 1 RT. the excel plot picture was distorted when it was copy-paste to
illustrator. However, if save the plot in photoshop as a "JPG" file, the pic
has no change, but the resolution is only 72 dpi, which can't used in paper
publication. How to resolve this problem? Thanks. | h*******o 发帖数: 4884 | 2 first copy to powerpoint, but do not use save as picture function

| h*******o 发帖数: 4884 | 4 It shouldn't.
Copy to powerpoint, then from powerpoint copy to illustrator.
Then export your figure from illustrator to Tiff file, set resolution as
300dpi or higher.
It should work. I just tested on my computer. | h*******o 发帖数: 4884 | 5 By the way, I just told you the easiest way, since you can edit your figure
in powerpoint first for size and color and then move on to illustrator.
For a direct conversion from excel to illustrator, instructions are listed

However, I run into another question, when I run "cadmus rapid inspector" for some
figures generated by illustrator, most of them have " missing font" problem.
but when I checked my figures, the font size are big enough for the journal
requirement. How do you think to fix this problem? Thanks a lot!
