Associate with at least 3 years working experience and some reasonable
publications to take on a recently funded NIH project looking at the
activation of brain mast cells with respect to certain autoimmune diseases.
Animal handling, molecular biology techniques and some experience in
analyzing scientific literatures are mandatory. This is a 2 to 3 year
position with a negotiable salary and fringe benefit as defined by Tufts

Our lab is actively pursuing the mechanism of regulation of selective
release of inflammatory mediators from mast cells and their contribution to
inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. We use in vitro and in vivo models, as
well as relevant clinical trials. We are specifically interested in the
synergistic effect of neuropeptides and cytokines in triggering mast cells,
as well as the inhibitory action of select flavonoids.
