whenever you publish some paper in Nature XXX involving some new method,
they will invite you to publish a Nature Protocol to describe that new
method in detail.

Editors，不过后面也说了可以自己propose，但那个估计很难被编辑通过吧：

Nature methods也是要求影响很大的创新性方法。
我们现在整个就是一个详尽的protocol，其中很多步骤有新的方法，但是整体上我觉得
达不到nature methods的要求。而且我们写的格式都是完全按照Nature protocols来的
，就是纯protocols。改来改去，加上作图，还花了好多时间。

发帖数: 346 | 10 新方法好像都需要先发表一篇research paper，证明比现有的方法好，
然后才有可能发一个详细的protocol到Nat Protocols或者Current Protocols系列。
所以我觉得你们可以用你们的方法先做一个具体问题，
一个好的电镜方法应该有很多有意思的东西可以做。
你们现在的manuscript可以先留着，等research paper发了再投。
如果新方法还没发表，我估计Nat Protocols的编辑不会收你们的。

然后才有可能发一个详细的protocol到Nat Protocols或者Current Protocols系列。
所以我觉得你们可以用你们的方法先做一个具体问题，
