Internship Description:
The Department of BioAnalytical Sciences at OncoMed Pharmaceutical is
looking for a bright Master or Ph.D. level student of Analytical Sciences to
work on the development and implementation of bioanalytical assays,
including immuno-assays such as ELISA and cell-based bioassays for
monoclonal antibody therapeutics. This individual will be working with a
group of highly experienced bioanalytical scientists to establish and
implement analytical test procedures and protocols. In addition, this
individual will be required to interpret analytical data and summarize
results in a report. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
The internship is located in San Francisco Bay area, with a desired duration
of 6 months. The stipend is $3,000/month, and travel will not be
reimbursed due to budget limitation.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology,
Immunology or equivalent
Skills and Experience Required:
Experience with immunoassays and other plate based assays
Experience in cell culture techniques
Experience with data management systems and statistical software for
trending and tracking
Demonstrate ability to work in a team and fast paced environment
Excellent written and verbal skills
Experience with monoclonal antibodies is a plus
Experience in molecular biology techniques is a plus
