B cells: WASP stings autoreactive B cells

Abstract
Patients with Wiskott–Aldrich syndrome (WAS) — who carry a mutation in the
gene encoding the WAS protein (WASP) — are immunodeficient and have a high
risk of developing autoimmunity. WASP is expressed by immune cells,
including B and T cells, and is a regulator of the actin cytoskeleton.
