RESEARCH ASSISTANT - ANTIBODY DISPLAY
Invenra is seeking a highly motivated research assistant with a strong
background in molecular biology techniques. This individual will support the
development of the Invenra antibody discovery platform. Aspects of the job
entail cloning, antibody library panning and protein target preparation. The
successful candidate will work with other scientists within the team and
will become proficient in antibody display technologies. The position
requires excellent scientific and problem solving skills, with a strong
focus on creative solutions to technical problems.
Ideal candidates are currently employed or have been employed in similar
types of positions and want to be a part of an expanding start-up company
developing innovative technologies. Candidates must bring intellectual,
professional and personal values that complement the founding team: the
highest standard of integrity, a tremendous work ethic and a passion to
succeed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in molecular biology and microbiology techniques is required
Experience with protein expression and purification techniques is a plus
General knowledge of immunology and antibody structure-function relationship
is a plus
Comfortable preparing lab buffers and stocks
Able to follow directions of a senior scientist for the successful
completion of experiments
Education:
The successful candidate will have a BS in biological sciences: molecular
and cell biology, immunology, etc with 1 or more years of industrial or
academic experience.
